Professional, practical, small-group on-camera classes for young actors. Six students max. Instructors are all working actors. Classes are held at a working casting studio at 788 Beatty St in downtown Vancouver.

CLASSES
The Summer Intensives are 5-day workshops in the techniques of acting and auditioning for film, television and commercials. Intensives run every week through July and August, and students are welcome to attend multiple sessions. Each week includes scene study, audition prep and skill-specific workshops (Emotional Access, Improv, Stunts, Clown, Voice) from Biz Studio instructors and guest teachers, and at least one (we try for two but it always depends on their availability) workshops with working casting directors (i.e. Tiffany Mak, Jackie Lind, Michelle Allen).
For the first time this year we are offering a Full Day option with our Kids Intensives. Students in the Full Day program will attend class at the studio from 9:00-12:00, have lunch nearby, and go on creative outings and field trips in the afternoons from 1:00-5:00 (character study, visiting a film set, making a short film, seeing a matinee of a play or movie, etc.).

Our Fall Semester classes run for eight consecutive weeks. Video from each class is posted on the website so you and your talent agent can track your progress week by week. Students without a talent agent are included in our online Fall Semester showcase, and are regularly signed by local agents.
Progress in acting, like in any professional skill, is incremental. Our goal at Biz Studio is to demand the highest level of performance from our students, while still encouraging their love of acting by balancing discipline with fun. We are passionate about good acting. And fun.
