I know, it’s a totally ridiculous concept, but that’s the fun of it. Three days on set can be really good experience, especially if you’re new, and when you’re resume building any credit is a good credit. -Michael Bean, Owner+Head Coach, Biz Studio

Emily Carr films tend to be visually experimental, so you can’t always use the footage from them in your demo reel. Just something to be aware of when you’re deciding whether to volunteer your time in making one. That said, when you’re building your resume any credit is a good credit! -Michael Bean, Owner+Head Coach, Biz Studio

NOTES:Except for Judy other familys member should speak in broken English. Cindy(Mom) needs to be quite fluent in Korean but if not we can try to work around the script. Power dynamic between a mother and a daughter in a Korean immigrant family whose members vote to speak only English at home. It is through this struggle we glean a microscopic view of demographic processes in our society.

[ TED ]
Male, 7-10. Too young have the concept of right and wrong; mimics everything that he sees. Manipulated into becoming the purveyor of Judy’s authority.

Emily Carr tends to produce visually rich and “arty” films, before committing to the shoot find out if you’ll be able to get some useable footage for your demo reel. -Michael Bean, Owner+Head Coach, Biz Studio
