This is an interesting one, reposted from the Actors Access website. From the submission instructions, it sounds like your best bet is to send them a hardcopy picture and resume–you can also submit electronically from the AA website. This is a US feature, so if they’re putting the call out as far as Vancouver it means they’re having trouble finding just the right person for the role, and they’re probably holding out for someone who looks really Vietnamese. Your actual ethnicity doesn’t matter, what they want is someone who looks authentically Vietnamese. If that’s you, it means a chance to fly to the US with one of your parents, stay in a fancy hotel, and work on set with one of the biggest actors in LA (!). Good luck! -Michael Bean, Head Coach, Biz Studio

The casting director emailed me on this one looking for three young actors for a Capilano College “Final Project” film. What that means is that the students making this film have three years of training and experience, and have already made several shorter films. “Final Project” films usually have a higher budget and better production values than ordinary student films. I hope one of you gets it! -Michael Bean, Head Coach, Biz Studio

This should be an interesting clip for somebody’s reel, and an opportunity to work with special effects “green screen,” which is increasingly common in professional productions. -Michael Bean, Head Coach, Biz Studio
