CHARACTERS:

Derek: Male, athletic, 15-17. Popular, handsome high school student. He’s an athletic/jock-type with a dark secret that is known by only his best friend, who is the story’s protagonist. Derek is a boy many believe has a bright future ahead because nobody knows the truths he’s hiding.

Rebecca: Female, slender, 15-17. High school student with a few close friends. Somewhat invisible because of her “plain Jane” appearance, but has an untapped ability to blossom into a real beauty.

Jeremy: Male, 14-16. Bookish, introverted high school student. A “unique” appearance that sets him apart from his peers. He marches to his own music mostly because he is oblivious to much that is around him.
